The CEFI Community Extension Services proudly participated in the 1st Enverga University Sustainable Future Summit held on February 27, 2026, at the AEC Little Theatre, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable development. The summit featured experts and leaders from academia, government, and the private sector, all sharing insights on advancing sustainability. It provided a meaningful platform for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and stakeholders to collaborate in promoting sustainability both within the academe and the wider community.

In his talk, “Higher Education Institutions as Catalysts for Community-Based Sustainability,” Dr. Rogelio T. Galera, Jr., Director IV of the CHED Regional Office IV, highlighted three important pillars: Teaching as a Tool – TRANSFORM, Universities as RESEARCH Hubs, and PARTNERSHIPS as the key to community development. These pillars emphasize the role of HEIs in driving innovation, fostering collaboration, and creating a lasting impact in communities.

Together, we continue to champion sustainability through education, research, and meaningful partnerships.
