𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | LiCom Opens 25th Founding Anniversary with Thanksgiving Mass, Blessing of Campuses

LIBON, Albay (July 3, 2026) — Libon Community College (LiCom) officially commenced the celebration of its 25th Founding Anniversary with a Thanksgiving Mass and the blessing of classrooms and offices at its two campuses on Friday, July 3.

The opening rites began at 8:00 a.m. at LiCom Campus 2 and concluded with another celebration at 4:00 p.m. at LiCom Campus 1. The Eucharistic celebration and blessing were presided over by Rev. Fr. Jojit Borromeo, parish priest, who led the college community in offering prayers of gratitude for the institution’s 25 years of service in providing accessible and quality education.

Anchored on the theme, “Honoring our Legacy, Empowering Learners, Building a Stronger Future,” the ceremony marked the official opening of the college’s week-long anniversary celebration.

Students, faculty members, non-teaching personnel, program heads, deans, and members of the college administration gathered in a spirit of thanksgiving and unity, reaffirming their shared commitment to the institution’s mission and vision.

The blessing of classrooms and offices symbolized LiCom’s continued dedication to providing a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment for teaching, learning, and public service. Meanwhile, the Thanksgiving Mass served as an opportunity for the entire academic community to seek God’s guidance and blessings as the institution embarks on another chapter of growth and excellence.

As LiCom celebrates its silver anniversary, the opening ceremony highlighted not only the college’s achievements over the past 25 years but also its steadfast commitment to empowering learners, honoring its rich legacy, and building a stronger future for the communities it serves.
