The Provincial Government of Albay, through the Albay Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMC), has issued Advisory No. 2026-07 on March 25, 2026, announcing safety measures in anticipation of the nationwide transport strike set for March 26–27. In Albay, in-person classes at all levels in both public and private schools are suspended and shifted to alternative learning modalities, while local government units are urged to mobilize resources to provide free rides for stranded commuters. All city and municipal DRRM offices have been placed on alert status to monitor developments and ensure readiness of response teams and vehicles. Meanwhile, the PDRRMO-APSEMO has been directed to coordinate with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Office of Civil Defense (OCD), and Philippine National Police (PNP) for logistical support to strengthen local response efforts.
