Goodwill Brigade Initiative

For the fourth time, we give back, not because we have so much, but because our hearts are grateful.
As we begin another year from our busy lives, this is our way of saying thank you for all the blessings of the past year.

To celebrate the 2nd year anniversary of the establishment of Goodwill Brigade, the team came back to Shekinah homes to give supplies the kids needed. I would like to thank the representatives this year: Kenneth, Ron, Leiron and Allan. Even when some of us are having their clerkship, duties and work here in the country and abroad, we never fail to give help and support the kids. Going back to Shekinah homes really feels like home. We would love to hear their stories, play with them and see their smiles. Seeing the photos from today’s activity, the kids never fail to amaze us with their warm welcome, hospitality and smiles and we can’t wait to meet and spend time with them again soon. Thank you Pastor Dan for accommodating us once again. God Bless you po Pastor, the mamas and especially the kids♥️

It was June 27 of 2023 when GB decided to spend the day at the chosen orphanage to celebrate a birthday. And for this year, we decided to establish a foundation under our barkada’s name which is “GB” thus Goodwill Brigade, to commemorate our 14-year long friendship.

The first time we went there, the activities were so simple. We gave them clay and toys to play with, coloring books and supplies. Kumakapa pa kaming lima paano makipaglaro sa kanila.

A year has passed, we came up with more ideas on how to spend the day with them. We had parlor games, Zumba, Story-telling, Painting, taught them how to properly wash their hands, Gift-giving and food. It does not take much to see them smile genuinely. That is the primary goal of this foundation, to see happiness not only with their smiles, but also through their eyes. And we want to keep seeing and feeling it.

No words can express how grateful we are to all the members of GB. May it be ideas, donations and support. We all have contributed something for this event to be successful. We may be in different cities, countries and continents, have different professions, but those things do not separate our desire to help, serve as instruments of hope, and inspiration to people.

We also want to thank Pastor Dan and Shekinah Home in Dingras for assisting us in the past two years and for the warm welcome everytime we visit.

Thank you God for the opportunity, guidance and blessings . All of these won’t be possible without Your grace. 🙏

We will continue having events like these in the future. We are open to suggestions to make the future events more interesting and enjoyable.
