DepEd RXII Singao Integrated School
📢 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: SUSPENSION OF CLASSES
Good morning, learners, parents, and stakeholders!
Pursuant to the declaration of Barangay Singao through Barangay Chairman Eduardo P. Loma, all face‑to‑face classes at Singao Integrated School are suspended today.
âś… STATUS: LEVEL HINAY
Under DepEd Order No. 14, s. 2026, Level HINAY means:
- We slow down and adjust learning activities due to weather conditions.
- This is not full suspension (Hinto) — classes are moved to home‑based learning with reduced and lighter workload.
- We follow this since our area experiences only light to moderate rain with no immediate danger, so we can still keep learning in a safe, flexible way.
📌 ARRANGEMENT FOR ACTIVITIES:
Giving of activity sheets and instructions will be done through the class advisers and subject teachers. Please accomplish them at your own pace at home.
🙏 Ingat po tayong lahat! Take good care of yourselves and your families. Stay indoors and keep safe.
Thank you for your understanding.

Project Completed: The concrete drainage system along the TLS classroom at Singao Integrated School is now finished. This structure effectively channels rainwater away from the building, preventing flooding and moisture buildup, ensuring a safer, drier, and more conducive learning environment for our learners.

DA-BSWM Compost Shredder Demonstration: Singao Integrated School Opens Benchmark Site for Sustainable Waste Management
Singao Integrated School | July 4, 2026
In a fruitful and meaningful activity this Saturday, Schools Division Superintendent Miguel P. Fillalan Jr. CESO V, Barangay Chairman Eduardo P. Loma, several Kagawad from Barangay Singao, school stakeholders, other school heads and partners gathered to witness the demonstration of the Compost Shredder—a facility provided by the Department of Agriculture (DA) through its Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM).
⚙️ How It Works:
This machine is designed to process biodegradable materials such as coconut husks, dried leaves, grass clippings, rice straw, and plant trimmings. Instead of being thrown away or burned, these materials are shredded into smaller pieces. This reduces their volume and speeds up decomposition, turning them quickly into nutrient‑rich organic compost or fertilizer.
🎯 Purpose & Alignment:
The activity aims not only to introduce the equipment but also to establish Singao Integrated School as a benchmark site. This allows other schools to visit, observe, and learn the proper operation and utilization of the shredder for their own programs.
Its use directly aligns with key government and DepEd initiatives:
✅ DepEd’s Gulayan sa Paaralan Program: Produces safe, natural fertilizer to sustain school gardens, support nutrition, and ensure food security.
âś… National Greening Program & Education for Sustainable Development: Teaches learners environmental responsibility and scientific farming practices.
âś… RA 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act): Eliminates open burning, reduces waste volume, and promotes proper waste recovery.
✅ Barangay & Community Use: Also supports local gardening efforts led by Barangay Singao, strengthening school‑LGU‑agency partnership.
“Waste becomes wealth when we know how to use it properly,” shared School Head Melody G. Almocera. “By opening this as a benchmark site, we help more schools adopt this practice, making sustainability a shared effort across the division.”

Reinforces Compliance with DepEd Orders for Safe and Nutritious Food Services
Singao Integrated School | July 3, 2026
To ensure the health, safety, and general welfare of all learners and personnel, Singao Integrated School held a consultative meeting and orientation with canteen owners and operators earlier today. The activity focused on reviewing and implementing two key Department of Education guidelines governing canteen operations and food standards.
Led by School Head Melody G. Almocera, the session centered on the full implementation of:
âś… DepEd Order No. 08, s. 2007
Revised Implementing Guidelines on the Operation and Management of School Canteens
- Covers proper management, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Requires valid health certificates, sanitary permits, and safe food handling practices
- Defines financial guidelines and use of canteen income for school programs
- Ensures the canteen serves as a venue to promote healthy eating habits
âś… DepEd Order No. 13, s. 2017
Policy and Guidelines on Healthy Food and Beverage Choices in Schools and DepEd Offices
- Classifies food and drinks into three categories:
🟢 GREEN CATEGORY (Allowed Daily): Nutritious items such as rice, root crops, fish, eggs, fruits, vegetables, and clean drinking water.
🟡 YELLOW CATEGORY (Limited – max 2x per week): Moderate sugar, salt, or fat content like pancit, turon, banana-cue, and simple sandwiches.
đź”´ RED CATEGORY (NOT ALLOWED): High-sugar beverages, instant noodles, chips, candies, and other processed foods with low nutritional value.
Highlights of the Discussion
School Head Almocera emphasized that these policies are not merely regulations, but measures to protect student health and support better learning outcomes. “What our students eat affects their energy, focus, and growth. By strictly following these DepEd Orders, we make sure that the canteen remains a safe, healthy, and reliable part of our school,” she stated.
Canteen operators were given time to raise clarifications and suggestions, leading to a shared understanding of requirements. They committed to adjusting their menu and operations to fully comply with the said guidelines.
Regular monitoring will be conducted by the School Canteen Committee to sustain compliance and ensure the welfare of every learner.

📢 Fun Facts on Android Earthquake Alerts System
🔹 What it uses
✅️Sensor: Built‑in accelerometer inside every Android device
✅️System name: Android Earthquake Alerts System
🔹 How it works
✅️Detects the faster, milder P-waves via the accelerometer before the stronger shaking (S-waves) arrives → sends early warning to give seconds to minutes of lead time to take safety action.

✅️Sends this data quickly to the system to trigger an alert seconds earlier than the actual strong tremor reaches your location.
✅️The Android system uses its built‑in sensors to detect early ground motion, giving us advance notice so we can be alerted promptly and take safety actions right away — turning a simple device into a reliable tool to help us stay safe before strong shaking arrives.
Happy Birthday SDS Miguel P. Fillalan Jr.
CESO V 🎉🎂🍾🍸

The Story Behind Bluetooth: Name & Logo
đź‘‘ Why is it named after King Harald Bluetooth?
Harald Bluetooth was a Viking king of Denmark and Norway in the 900s. His greatest achievement: uniting separate tribes and regions into one kingdom .
When engineers created this wireless technology in 1997, they chose his name because just as King Harald connected people and lands, Bluetooth connects different devices—phones, speakers, computers, and more—without wires.
🖋️ What does the Bluetooth logo mean?
The familiar symbol is not just a random design—it has deep history!
It combines two ancient Viking runes (old writing symbols):
- ᚼ = Hagall = stands for H (Harald)
- á›’ = Bjarkan = stands for B (Bluetooth)
Together, they form a single mark—showing unity, connection, and communication—just like the technology itself.
✅️Technology often carries history. Bluetooth honors a leader who united people, while its symbol reminds us: connection brings us together.
