True storytellers are never confined to a single lane, and the graduating staffers of the KDCEye publication have proven exactly that.
Balancing the rigorous precision of medical science and the dynamic demands of hospitality, four outstanding student-journalists from the Medical Technology and Tourism Management departments have successfully capped off their academic journeys by bringing home the prestigious Journalism Award. As the dedicated voices behind the official student publication of Kidapawan Doctors College, Inc. (KDCI), these individuals masterfully translated their campus perspectives into impactful narratives, ensuring that press freedom and student voices remained at the forefront of the institution's history.
Stepping out of the laboratory and leaving an indelible mark on campus journalism are Medical Technology graduates and KDCEye powerhouses Angelica P. Irabon and Albert Bryan D. Gerona from BSMT Batch Luminara.
Demonstrating equal brilliance in writing the stories of the student body, Tourism Management graduates and media champions Hazel Joy F. Abella and Jessa Jules E. Berber from the KDCI-Katurismo Class of 2026 have shown that hospitality and sharp journalistic insight go hand in hand.
By beautifully intertwining their distinct academic disciplines with a fierce passion for truth, these newly minted alumni leave behind a powerful legacy of editorial leadership, proving that the pen remains a mighty tool in the hands of KDCI's future leaders.

Held last May 25, 2026, at the KDCI Campus Social Hall, the Employee Wellness Program, facilitated by the College Organization of Peer Facilitators, featured Mr. Al Gerone Guillermo, a registered psychometrician, as the guest speaker. The seminar focused on stress, stress thresholds, and the importance of sustainable self-care in maintaining overall well-being.
Throughout the discussion, Mr. Guillermo explained the difference between eustress and distress, emphasizing that even positive experiences can become overwhelming when responsibilities accumulate. He also highlighted that coping mechanisms vary from person to person, making it important to choose healthy responses suited to oneโs situation.
Participants also engaged in an interactive activity titled โMerchants of Peace,โ where groups completed challenges and used earned materials to build structures designed to protect an egg from various stressors. The activity symbolized resilience, teamwork, and the importance of support systems during difficult situations.
As the seminar concluded, participants reflected on the effects of overworking and self-neglect, recognizing that self-care is not selfish but necessary for long-term well-being.
