As part of our school's annual safety program and for the effectiveness of our organization’s emergency preparedness and response in case of an earthquake, the DRRM committee of Jones Rural School conducted the final earthquake safety seminar and actual earthquake drill for the School Year 2022-2023 with the assistance of the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LDRRMO) of the Municipality of Jones.

𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗜𝗡 // 𝙅𝙊𝙉𝙀𝙎 𝙍𝙐𝙍𝘼𝙇 𝙎𝘾𝙃𝙊𝙊𝙇 𝙎𝙃𝙎 𝙋𝙀𝙍𝙁𝙊𝙍𝙈𝙀𝘿
𝙀𝘼𝙍𝙏𝙃𝙌𝙐𝘼𝙆𝙀 𝘿𝙍𝙄𝙇𝙇

We are aware that Philippines is prone to natural hazards. This past few months, we have experienced many destructive natural phenomena that has alarmed us and put countless lives into danger. That is why it is important for us to be prepared from any forms of disasters.

The Jones Rural School Senior High School performed an Earthquake drill as a response in Disaster Preparedness specially in times of Earthquake this November 10, 2022. The said drill was actively participated by the Senior High School Students from strands STEM, HUMSS, ABM and TVL with the help of the Teacher Advicers of every class.

Always remember the DUCK, COVER, and HOLD TECHNIQUE.

"Earthquakes happen with no warning; therefore, life-protecting actions must be taken at the first indication of ground shaking."
