Virtual Coordination Meeting of Sulu AHDP Coordinators and DOH CHD Zamboanga Peninsula

A successful virtual coordination meeting between the Sulu Adolescent Health and Development Program (AHDP) Coordinators and the Child and Adolescent Health Program of the Department of Health – Center for Health Development Zamboanga Peninsula was conducted today, February 19, 2026, via WebEx.

The meeting gathered all AHDP Coordinators from the Rural Health Units and government hospitals across the Province of Sulu, reinforcing collaboration and strengthening program implementation at both municipal and facility levels. The activity was graced by the Chief of the Local Health Support Division, Dr. Dennis Antonio A. Dacayanan, MPM; the Family Health Unit Cluster Head, Dr. Cheryl R. Sarmiento, MPH; and the Child and Adolescent Health Program Coordinator, Ms. Marie-Claire Gaas, RND.

The coordination meeting focused on discussing the current status and accomplishments of the AHDP in Sulu, providing an overview of key program components, and outlining priority activities and strategic directions for 2026. The dialogue also provided an avenue to clarify technical concerns and service delivery issues to ensure alignment with national standards.

The Integrated Provincial Health Office – Sulu, through the leadership of OIC PHO II Dr. Nhamier M. Jikiri, MBA-MHA, FPCP, extends its sincere appreciation to the DOH CHD Zamboanga Peninsula for its shared commitment and steadfast partnership in advancing adolescent health programs in Sulu.
