Jad and his wife welcomed a son named Sader, who was not born with Down syndrome. From the beginning, Jad was determined to give his son the best life possible. He worked hard, saved money for his son's education, and filled his childhood with love, support, and encouragement.

As Sader grew up, he was inspired by his father's kindness, dedication, and positive outlook on life. Their close bond helped shape the person he would become.

Years later, Sader achieved his dream of becoming a dentist. Jad was incredibly proud and often told people with joy, “My son is a doctor.”

Sader has said that having a father with Down syndrome inspired him and taught him valuable lessons about love, determination, and happiness.

Thai Student Turns Old Billboards Into Shelters for Stray Dogs

A design student in Thailand found a creative way to help stray dogs while reducing waste.

Ajarn Yossaphon Chanthongjeen founded a project called Stand for Strays, which transforms discarded advertising billboards into simple shelters for homeless dogs.

The shelters are designed to protect stray animals from heavy rain, flooding, and extreme heat. Each one features a slanted roof made from recycled billboards and a raised platform where dogs can rest. Some also include food and water bowls.

What makes the design unique is its simplicity. The shelters can be attached to walls, fences, or sidewalks, making them easy to set up wherever stray dogs are found. They can also be folded and moved when needed.

Thailand is home to hundreds of thousands of stray dogs, and the project aims to provide both immediate help and raise awareness about long-term solutions. Information printed on the recycled billboards can also encourage communities to get involved in helping homeless animals.

By turning waste into something useful, the project helps both the environment and the many stray dogs looking for a safe place to rest.
