The President Ramon Magsaysay State University ROTC Unit successfully conducted its Opening Ceremony of the ROTC Program for School Year 2026–2027 and Pinning of Ranks of Advance ROTC Cadets on 06 September 2026 at the PRMSU Iba Campus.

The ceremony was graced by University President Dr. Roy N. Villalobos, who delivered the Welcome Remarks and formally declared the opening of the ROTC Program. The activity was also attended by BGEN RICNON U CAROLASAN PA, Regiment Commander of the Combat Engineer Regiment, Philippine Army, who served as the keynote speaker and led the Pinning of Ranks alongside Dr. Villalobos.

The event also recognized the presence and leadership of COL VERGEL M. LAGUITAN SC (GSC) PA, CDC Director, and CPT MARK KEVIN L. RICARDO PA (RES), ROTC Commandant, whose guidance and supervision contributed to the successful conduct of the ceremony.

The Pinning of Ranks marked a significant milestone for the Advance ROTC Cadets as they formally assumed their respective ranks and responsibilities. More than a ceremony, it symbolizes their commitment to leadership, discipline, integrity, and service to the nation.

With the opening of another ROTC training year, may every cadet embrace the challenges ahead with courage, determination, and a strong sense of duty. May this journey continue to shape them into responsible leaders and future officers who embody the values of honor, duty, and service.

“A leader is not defined by the rank they wear, but by the responsibility they carry and the example they set.”

Congratulations to all Advance ROTC Cadets, and best wishes to all cadets embarking on another year of training and service! 🫡🇵🇭

ATTENTION, CADETS! 📢🫡

May ROTC event tayo bukas.
Yes, BUKAS. Hindi next week. Hindi kapag ready ka na. BUKAS NA TALAGA.

Kaya kung nasa kamay mo pa rin ang phone mo at sinasabi mong “last scroll na talaga,” beh… kilala ka namin.😭 Isipin mo muna kung worth it ba ang eyebags na dala mo bukas.

Tulog nang maaga! Be prepared!
Kasi bukas, kailangan nating magmukhang disciplined cadets, hindi mga taong kagabi ay nakikipaglaban sa antok habang nagso-scroll. 😭📱

Uniform ready. Things ready. Alarm ready.
Ikaw? READY KA BA, BEH?! 🫵😭

See you tomorrow, cadets! Atake natin ang training, hindi ang tulog natin. 🫡🔥

HONORING THE 119TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF PRESIDENT RAMON MAGSAYSAY

Today, August 31, we commemorate the 119th Birth Anniversary of President Ramon Magsaysay, the seventh President of the Republic of the Philippines and a leader remembered for his humility, integrity, and genuine dedication to the Filipino people.

President Magsaysay believed that true leadership is rooted in service. Throughout his life and public service, he demonstrated that a leader must remain close to the people, uphold their rights and welfare, and lead with honesty and compassion.

His legacy continues to inspire us, especially as members of the PRMSU ROTC Unit, to embody the values of discipline, patriotism, integrity, and selfless service. May his example remind us that leadership is not about seeking power or recognition, but about dedicating oneself to the service of others and the nation.

As we honor his life and contributions, may we continue to strive for a stronger, united, and progressive Philippines through responsible leadership and genuine public service.

Happy 119th Birth Anniversary, President Ramon Magsaysay! 🇵🇭
