On this day, a beautiful flower bloomed in the garden. She has showered us with joy and hope. Her presence has brought positivity to everyone whom she shared her life with. Even now that she already found a new garden in heaven, she still made the children happy with her birthday wish. She loves kids. She sees them as rays of sunshine. Surely, the children would be thankful for the moment of joy she gave. But ultimately, she wanted nothing in returnβ€”she just wanted to make people happy.

To that flower who captured our hearts, you'll always be remembered. Though you're no longer here, your legacy lives on. Happy birthday in heaven, Rose! πŸŽ‚

It was an honor and privilege that her leadership and dedication to quality service have touched this institution.

Words are not enough to express our gratitude for her dedication and enthusiasm for many years. From the start until the end of different advocacy, projects, partnerships, and collaborations under her tenure, Ma'am Rose was there every step of the way to guide us. Her unwavering support partakes in the success and development of the various initiatives we had. She gave us hope and inspiration to continue the mission to uplift the communities through impactful extension programs. She was a true leader. A mentor we can rely on.

Ma'am Rose may be gone in this world, but her legacy will remain forever. 🫢

This annual event sponsored by the Research, Extension, Development, and Innovation (REDI) Office of Romblon State University, showcased eighty-one research and extension papers from participants across the Philippines which were presented among five categories in the parallel sessions: Engineering, Development, and Innovation (EDI), Environment, Agriculture, and Natural Sciences (EANS), Supervision, Administration, Leadership, and Management (SALM), Social Science, Humanities, and Education (SHE), and Extension. The objective of the RSU-REDi unit in conducting this Congress is β€œto bring together university faculty, teachers, graduate students, and experts in a virtual setting for scholarly discussions, knowledge sharing, and capacity building amidst the new normal.”

Under the Extension Category of the said Congress, the BioCARES Program was also selected as the Most Gender Responsive Research.

BioCARES Program is a research-based, transformative and community-focused initiative that seeks to empower marginalized communities by bridging the gap between research and practical application. Over a span of five years, since 2019, this program has implemented four significant projects: the Community-Driven Mushroom Project, Vermicomposting Project, Corn Cobs Briquetting Project, and the BioCARES Webinar Series Project.

The faculty extensionists who designed this impactful extension program were Liezel DC. Atole – the presenter of BioCARES Program during the REDi Congress, Czarina Nicole E. Macatingrao, Karen Moshie O. Artiaga, Raymond L.Gamban, Leah B. Ignao, Christine B. Bongay, Darwin A. Garbeles, Almira A. Valencia and Dr. Erlinda M. Basilla. Before this, the BioCARES Program already gained awards during the 2023 Regional Extension Colloquium as 2nd Best Paper and Best Poster held on October 24 and 25 at Legazpi City.

Once again, ParSU proved its competitiveness in the fourfold functions of a university: instruction, research, 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐒𝐨𝐧 and production. From Partido State University - Extension & Community Services Division our warmest congratulations to everyone who put their best foot forward in achieving their goals of serving the community through extension programs while upholding excellence!
