Suspension of Classes and Work to Give Way for Structural Inspection

In view of the recent occurrence that necessitates the immediate assessment of buildings and facilities, and to ensure the safety of all students, employees, and the general public, the Local Government of General Santos City hereby suspends classes in all levels, both public and private, effective October 10, 2025, to give way for a thorough structural inspection of school buildings and other establishments.

Likewise, work in all government offices is hereby suspended on the same date. Private companies and business establishments are strongly advised to suspend work operations to allow similar safety inspections of their premises.

Emergency, disaster response, health, and other frontline offices shall continue to operate to ensure delivery of essential public services.

An Executive Order formalizing this suspension shall follow.

The public is advised to remain alert, stay tuned for further announcements, and prioritize safety at all times.
