One Block for Batug

This is how Andrea Roa step forward to start this cause. Armed with all the information and photos and real stories of the situation of Batug Elementary School she went back home to her country of residence Hong Kong and started this project One Block for Batug. She humbly asked for a donation from all here good friends to raise money to buy one sack of cement one, one concrete block to use to build buildings and used as a proper classrooms so that the student can conduct a proper class. in November 2013 Typhoon Yolanda hit the Philippines and the village of Batug destroying the village, the surrounding coconut trees and also sadly taking many lives. Initial emergency aid helped the immediate after-effects of this typhoon but this has now ended. The community is left without housing and means or work (it takes around 6 years for the coconut trees to mature, and this was the major source of employment). There is still so much that needs to be done and One Block for Batug is grateful for anyone who can help.
