On December 16, 2018 at about 1:00 PM personnel of Magsaysay MPS conducted orientation and organization of Crime Spotters in Magsaysay, Davao del Sur. The activity was attended by 130 participants mostly single motorcycle drivers operating within the municipality. The activity aims to make this drivers our force multipliers in support to anti criminality, investigation, community policing and information gathering. Activity ended at about 3:30 PM of same date.

At 11:00am of October 19, 2018, the 1st DSPMFC launched their new project called as Project DOUBLE “E” (Eye Expedition)- a new law enforcement approach wherein all of their government-issued police vehicles were mounted with dash cameras. This project aims for the following:
1. The PNP personnel will be more self-aware of their actions with the use of cameras having undeniable evidence recorded and solidify what happened in a questionable event;
2. Dash cams reduce police liability by providing real time video footage and PNP Personnel may avoid potential lawsuits/harassment cases;
3. Dash cams provide transparency for the community since it will create trust between them as citizens often believe that police are being filmed;
4. Video evidence inproves conviction rates since the footage will be an additional piece of evidence for cases; and
5. Reviewing video footage, police officers can learn from mistakes, as well as view positive behavior and succesful police operation.

During the said launching, PCINSP MARK KIM B. AQUINO- OIC, 1st DSPMFC was interviewed by Ms. Gina Sarmiento of Gold FM and Ms. Leslie Lampayasen of Energy FM/PTV14 to inform the public on the new initiative and Emerging Best Practice of 1st DSPMFC. Futhermore, PSSUPT FERLU J. SILVIO-OIC, DSPPO also witnessed the said launching and commits to direct all Police Units in the AOR to replicate the project.
