Because the truth is, correction is rarely comfortable. It can sting, challenge your pride, and confront parts of you that you’d rather ignore. But when your heart is humble and open, you begin to realize that not every correction is meant to tear you down—some are meant to build you up.

When pride takes over, everything feels like an attack. You start to see correction as rejection, criticism as condemnation. But a teachable heart shifts your perspective. It allows you to see correction as guidance, not judgment. It reminds you that growth often comes wrapped in discomfort.

Real growth doesn’t always feel good. Sometimes it requires you to pause, reflect, and admit that there are areas in your life that still need shaping. It takes maturity to listen without becoming defensive, to receive without taking it personally, and to grow without resisting the process.
