Practicum Instructors of the Agribusiness Department conducted Student Interns Monitoring on August 3 and 4, 2023 to their industry partners in Davao del Sur.
The purpose of the said monitoring were to know the condition of interns in their workplace, to monitor their performance, and to strengthen partnership with industry partners.
Present in the monitoring were Mr. Lorenzo Jr. T. Gulle, IBEG Internship Coordinator; Mr. Wilmar P. Labanon, Lic. Agr., LPT and Mr. Aljun S. Nilo, Lic. Agr., MBA, Practicum Instructors.

The DSSC - Office of the Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) facilitated the Institute of Business Education and Governance's students-parents/guardians orientation on August 1, 2023 at DSSC Mini-Gymnasium.
New batch of freshmen were presented general overview of the academic programs in the institute (Bachelor of Public Administration, Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness major in Enterprise Management, and Bachelor of Science in Accounting Information Systems). Institute key officials and faculty members were also introduced.
Programs Heads Prof. Roel S. Apas, MPA (BPA); Prof. Jenevieve D. Gica, MBA (BSAB), and Prof. Fritzie Q. Jumowad, CPA (BSAIS) provided the academic policies of each program. Guest Speaker, Annalou L. Tampipi, MGC, RGC discussed the roles of parents/guardians in the academic endeavors of students.
Academic Support Services Heads also came to introduce themselves and gave short background of the assistance and services that they offer. Dr. Jeric Anthony for OSAS; Shenna Enfesta for the Guidance Office; Dulce Marie Martinez for the Scholarship Office; Rosedilla Janson for Library Services; Salome Garciano for the Registrarβs Office; Assi. Prof. Cecil Lofranco for the Gender and Development Office Services; Engr. Teressa Lumansoc, Prefect of Discipline, and Assi. Prof. Kris Kristofferson Tan for Laboratory Services.

A student and parent/guardian orientation for Internship Program was conducted for the Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness (BSAB) program today, May 10, 2023 at DSSC Mini-Gymnasium.
Present in the orientation were Dr. Cherry Ann P. Roxas, Director for Instruction; Prof. Michelle A. Alcebar, MBA, College Internship Coordinator; Prof. Jeanevieve D. Gica, MBA, Agribusiness Department Chairperson; Prof. Lorenzo Jr. T. Gulle, IBEG Internship Coordinator; and Prof. Wilmar P. Labanon, LPT, Lic. Agr., and Prof. Aljun S. Nilo, AB Internship Coordinators.
The purpose of the said orientation was to orient the students and their parents on the do's and don't's during the internship program, students' roles and responsibilities in their assigned institutions, and important requirements and schedules.

Selected faculty members from the Agribusiness Department successfully completed the Business Proposal Writeshop on Agri-Enterprises related to Cacao, Coffee, and Coconut on April 29, 2023 (Saturday) at the Brokenshire College - Bahay Alumni in Madapo Hills, Davao City.
This writeshop was facilitated by the Model Cooperative Network. MCN is in to WeLEAD and CoopTECH business innovation programs. These two (2) programs provide women and youth entrepreneurs and enterprising organizations/cooperatives with access to business training and mentorship, business financing, market linkages, and network. This serves as an avenue to further strengthen existing businesses or develop new business ideas into marketable products and services related to cacao, coffee, and coconut.
In the morning, a Business Proposal Writing for Entrepreneurs was introduced by Dr. Randell U. Espina, Dean of the College of Engineering and Architecture of the Ateneo de Davao University. It was then followed by a workshop. In the afternoon, participants from the academe, cooperatives, and entrepreneurs presented their business idea proposals. Davao del Sur State College participants presented their "The New Life of Coffee Grounds" business ideas - coffee-scented candles, pruned coffee leaves tea, and okra decaf.
Present in the said workshop were Prof. Michelle A. Alcebar, MBA; Prof. Jan Christian D. Enero, MBA; Prof. Lorenzo Jr. T. Gulle; and Prof. Wilmar P. Labanon, LPT, Lic. Agr.
