NAPC VDC Community Base Disaster Risk Reduction Management

It is widely recognized that Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (CBDRRM) is one of the key strategies to prepare for hazards and respond to disasters. CBDRRM is a process in which vulnerable communities are actively engaged in the identification, analysis, treatment, monitoring, and evaluation of disaster risks in order to reduce the vulnerabilities and enhance capacities.1 Through CBDRRM, ordinary community members are able to collectively reduce disaster risks on their own.
