Ducati Lenovo faces a highly competitive scenario heading into 2027: five riders for just two seats. The current occupants, Marc Márquez and Pecco Bagnaia, have contracts expiring in 2026, so both will need to prove themselves to secure their continued place. In this context, Marc Márquez has the upper hand for renewal, supported by his performance and his sporting impact within the project. Pecco Bagnaia’s situation is more uncertain. If the 2026 season follows a trend similar to the current one, it's not ruled out that the Italian might consider a change of scenery in search of a new boost to his career. Among the contenders is Fermín Aldeguer, who is contracted to Ducati, a key factor that could make it easier for him to secure the official seat if his progress continues. Álex Márquez also enters the equation: if he maintains this level, he’s a very serious candidate, as one of the few riders capable of being competitively paired with Marc as a teammate. Finally, Pedro Acosta is on Ducati’s radar. The brand is aware that with a competitive bike, the Spaniard could have real potential to fight for the World Championship. Five names, two seats, and a decision that will shape Ducati’s future in MotoGP.
