There’s a quiet kind of pain that comes with crafting.
Yung tipong kahit sinasabihan ka ng mga tao na maganda yung gawa mo, deep inside, duda ka pa rin sa sarili mo.

You stare at your crafts for too long, hanggang sa flaws na lang yung nakikita mo.
“Magugustuhan ba nila ‘to?”
“Baka pangit.”
“Baka sinasabi lang nilang maganda para hindi ako ma-hurt.”

Hindi ko naman dati ugaling maging perfectionist.
Pero simula nung nag-crafting ako, parang naging sobrang critical ko na sa sarili ko. Every little detail napapansin ko. Kahit maliit na mali, feeling ko malaking bagay na agad. Siguro kasi hindi lang naman siya simpleng product para sa akin—parang parte na siya ng puso at effort ko.

As crafters, we pour so much of ourselves into every detail.
Every cut. Every color. Every layout. Every tiny adjustment.

And maybe that’s why we become our own harshest critic.

May mga times talaga na after mo tapusin yung isang piece, instead na ma-proud ka, mapapa-overthink ka pa:
“Okay ba talaga ‘to?”

Pero slowly, life has a way of comforting you quietly.

Kasi bumabalik sila.

Nag-oorder ulit.
Nagpapagawa ulit.

And somehow…that becomes louder than your doubts.

Doon ko na-realize na baka hindi naman pala talaga “pangit” yung gawa ko, the way I thought it was. Maybe people really do see the love behind every craft. Maybe they can feel the sincerity in every piece I make.

And honestly, one of the softest feelings ever is receiving messages from people around you—lalo na from fellow crafters, friends, or clients—na genuine yung support.

Simple messages like:

“Never doubt your talent.”

hit differently when you’ve been silently doubting yourself for so long.

Hindi man nila alam, pero sometimes those words heal something inside you. Parang biglang gumagaan yung pakiramdam mo. Parang naaalala mo ulit kung bakit ka nagsimulang gumawa.

Because sometimes, creators don’t really need grand recognition.
Sometimes, we just need small reminders that what we create matters. That our art touched someone. That our effort was seen.

So to every crafter out there like me who keeps doubting themselves while still continuing to create anyway…
