everyone tells you that it goes fast. that they aren't babies for long.. but nothing can prepare you for how fast it REALLY goes.

one minute you're looking at a positive pregancy test and the next, you're holding a tiny, perfect newborn in your arms. your whole world, your whole heart laying on your chest.

and then you blink.
and they’re no longer a tiny baby.
everyday they are learning something new.
their personality is shining through.

suddenly, you don't want to blink anymore.
you want to hold your breath and press pause.

because even though you can't wait to see them grow,
you wish it would S L O W down.
just a little bit.

I still remember when they told me
"Congratulations, it's a baby boy. "

That was when I knew that the man I would love for the rest of my life had arrived. I love you so much my boy 🥹🥰
