The SSU College of Engineering and DEFAS proudly congratulate 𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐑. 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐒 𝐌. 𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐙𝐀, Program Coordinator of the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and the dedicated Student Adviser of the DEFAS Society, for serving as a Session Chair during the 18th IEEE International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Communication Networks (CICN 2026).

We take immense pride in recognizing her valuable contribution to this prestigious global platform.
Her participation as a session chair in an international research conference reflects the growing involvement of our faculty in global academic and research engagements. This milestone highlights her unwavering commitment to scholarly service, professional excellence, and the advancement of engineering, technology, and innovation.

As a leader in our academic community, her role in facilitating technical sessions and engaging with researchers from around the world is a meaningful contribution not only to the conference but also to the continuing development of a robust research culture within the university. The SSU University Student Council, together with the Student Organizations of Samar State University, is extending help to the families and residents affected by the fire incident that occurred earlier today in Brgy. 3, Pier 2, Catbalogan City.
Many families have lost their homes and belongings, and some of our fellow students have also been directly affected by this tragedy. In this difficult time, we are accepting both monetary and in-kind donations to help provide immediate assistance and support to those in need.
Every donation, big or small, can go a long way in helping affected families and community members recover and rebuild.
