Face-to-face classes in the elementary and secondary levels in the Municipality of Carrascal are suspended and will shift to Modular Distance Learning (MDL) pursuant to Executive Order No. 18, Series of 2026.

According to Heavy Rainfall Warning No. 2 issued at 5:00 AM on March 9, 2026, the Trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) is affecting Surigao del Sur and nearby provinces, bringing the possibility of flooding in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous areas.

In light of the continued monitoring of Tropical Depression Wilmaand the placement of Carrascal under TCWS No. 1, all face-to-face classes are hereby suspended, and schools in the municipality are directed to shift to Modular Distance Learning (MDL)for the safety of all learners and personnel.
