𝗞𝗠𝗜 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗤𝗚𝗜𝗦 𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗥-𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗣

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: Kafugan Mining Incorporated participated in the Quantum Geographic Information System (QGIS) for Geospatial Reporting and Compliance for Tenements, Safety and Health, Environment, and Social Development (TSHES) Technical Seminar-Workshop held on July 1–2, 2026, at the Gateway Hotel, Surigao City.

The two-day seminar-workshop aimed to equip mining contractors, permittees, and permit holders with the knowledge and technical skills needed for the development and implementation of the Geospatial Database System. It also enhanced participants’ capacity to comply with geospatial reporting requirements, supporting more efficient monitoring and regulatory compliance across the mining industry.

On the second day of the event, KMI also took part in the ICT4RM 2.0 Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing, reaffirming the Company’s commitment to transparency, digital transformation, and compliance.

In celebration of the 2026 Philippine Environment Month, Kafugan Mining Incorporated engaged in Environment Month Culmination Program held on June 30, 2025, at Gateway Hotel, Surigao City.

KMI employees and SDMP Scholar joined competitions namely Extemporaneous Speech, Mining Vlog, and Eco-grazing, in support of promoting environmental awareness and sustainability.

In line with the ongoing Environment Month celebration, Kafugan Mining Incorporated executed a Community and River Clean-up Drive Activity under Adopt-a-River program on June 27, 2026, in Barangay Pantukan, Carrascal, Surigao del Sur.

The activity brought together KMI employees, local residents, Barangay Health Workers (BHW), and BLGU officials headed by Hon. Romel I. Ala, reflecting the community's collective commitment to environmental protection. This collaborative effort collected 36 kilograms of residual waste that highlights the importance of collective community action in protecting and preserving local waterways, while reinforcing the message that small and consistent efforts can make a meaningful impact in advancing climate action.

KMI extends its sincere appreciation to Hon. Jadelz V. Molinar and Hon. Leonito Ponson for their active participation and invaluable support in making the activity a success.

𝗞𝗠𝗜 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧𝗦 𝗦𝗗𝗠𝗣 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚

As company continues to uphold its commitment to sustainable development, Kafugan Mining Incorporated conducted SDMP Internal Monitoring on June 25, 2026, covering KMI SDMP Projects in Barangay Adlay, Carrascal, Surigao del Sur.

The activity was participated in by two (2) RHNC members, namely Ms. Sol U. Buniel, DepEd District Supervisor, and Hon. Analle Petalcorin, Barangay Councilor of Adlay, together with KMI representatives, ensuring that SDMP projects are sustained and properly implemented in partnership with the community. The monitoring team visited the IEC Community Hub, Community Irrigation System, Provision of Medicines for Common Illnesses at the Health Center, and SDMP Volunteer Teachers.

KMI underscores regular monitoring to assess project implementation, ensure efficient use of resources, and strengthen transparency and accountability in the delivery of community development initiatives.

𝗞𝗠𝗜 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗣𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗪𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗣𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗕𝗢𝗥 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

In celebration of Philippine Arbor Day 2026, Kafugan Mining Incorporated actively participated the Tree Planting Activity last June 25, 2026, at the Parang-Parang Watershed, Sitio Brazil, Barangay Mat-I in Surigao City.

This activity in collaboration with DENR-Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) and DENR-CENRO Surigao del Norte. It was attended by various government agencies, local government unit, and community partners in a series of tree planting and tree-growing activities, reaffirming its commitment to environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, and climate action.

Subsequently, KMI joined in the Tree Planting and Tree-Growing Activity in MIAC, Adlay, Carrascal, Surigao del Sur with 3,100 indigenous tree seedlings were planted in partnership with DENR-PENRO, DENR-CENRO, the Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Adlay. This collaborative effort aims to restore forest ecosystems, strengthen watershed protection, and promote the use of native tree species.

KMI continues to demonstrate its assurance to responsible mining by working hand in hand with government agencies and local communities in conserving and restoring the environment.
