*Brookie Recipe 🍫😋*

Want the classic combo: brownie bottom + cookie top?

*Ingredients*
- *Brownie layer*
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- *Cookie layer*
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips

*Procedure*
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 pan.
2. *Brownie*: Mix butter, sugar, eggs, cocoa, flour, salt, vanilla. Spread in pan.
3. *Cookie*: Cream butter, sugars, egg, vanilla. Mix in flour, baking soda, salt. Fold in chips. Spread on brownie layer.
4. Bake 25-30 min until cookie's set but brownie's gooey.
5. Cool, then cut.

*Chocolate Crinkle Cookies*

*Ingredients* (makes ~22 cookies)
- 1 ½ cups (190 g) all‑purpose flour
- ¾ cup (65 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 ¼ cups (250 g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (120 ml) vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup (90 g) chocolate chips (optional)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for coating)

*Instructions*
1. Preheat oven to 325 °F (160 °C). Line baking sheets with parchment.
2. Whisk flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
3. In a large bowl combine sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla; beat until smooth.
4. Gradually add the dry mix to the wet mix, stirring until just combined. Fold in chips if using.
5. Chill the dough 30 min (this helps the cracks form).
6. Place powdered sugar in a shallow bowl. Scoop tablespoon‑sized balls, roll in powdered sugar to coat heavily, then roll again for a thick layer.
7. Arrange on the sheet 2 in apart.
8. Bake 12‑15 min, until the tops are cracked and set.
9. Cool 2 min on the sheet, then transfer to a rack.

*Double Chocolate Banana Muffins (Serves 4-6) 🍌🍫*

*Ingredients*
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 large eggs
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- ½ cup chocolate chips and nuts (plus a few extra for topping)
- ½ cup milk or
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

*Procedure*
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 6-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
2. In a bowl, whisk flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. In another bowl, mix mashed bananas, sugar, eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
4. Fold dry ingredients into wet mix, just until combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
5. Divide batter into 6 muffin cups, sprinkle a few extra chips on top.
6. Bake 18-22 min, until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
7. Cool 5 min in the pan, then transfer to a rack.
