BREAKING: DOH-Eastern Visayas reports three (3) additional confirmed cases of . Bringing the total number to 43.

The new confirmed cases are:

》Patient EV-41, is a 43-year old, male, from Burauen, Leyte. No history travel, no contact from confirmed cases. DOH-EV still finding out where patient EV-41 got the virus.

》Patient EV-42, is a 35-year old, female from Abuyog, Leyte. An OFW who arrived on May 27, 2020 via AirAsia Z2-A331 flight.

》Patient EV-43, is a 32-year old, female, from Baybay City, Leyte. An OFW who arrived via plane the same flight with patient EV-36 and EV-40.

The Department of Health-Eastern Visayas Center for Health Development would like to inform the public that Eastern Visayas COVID-19 Testing Center (EVRCTC) has resumed its operation yesterday afternoon, May 21, 2020 after the confirmatory testing samples has been put on hold due to delay of the arrival of extraction and detection kits brought by Typhoon "AMBO".

The EVRCTC has released a total of 53 sample results and all are NEGATIVE.

Included in the negative results is the 3rd sample of Patient EV-5 from Burauen, Leyte. The said patient can now reintegrate into the community.

Negative samples are distributed into this following areas; Tarangnan (11), North Samar (8), RHU Burauen (8), Samar (7), SOYMPH (5), EVRMC (6), Living Hope Hospital (2), RHU Sta. Fe (2), RHU Alang-alang (2) and 1 each for LPH and Tacloban City.
