Among the transmission systems that NPC manages, Mindoro has the longest existing transmission line at 448.35 ckt km (as of 2020). In November 2021, NPC successfully interconnected Oriental and Occidental Mindoro in a single transmission line network. This significant development will not only reduce system loss and improve the system reliability but will also allow the two provinces to trade power supply.
