CIDG NETS 13 FOR ALLEGED “POGO” OPERATION IN MUNTINLUPA

On June 15, 2026 at around 12:15 AM, the CIDG Southern Metro Manila District Field Unit (SMMDFU) together with the CIDG National Capital Region Regional Field Unit (NCRFU), in coordination with the Southern Police District (SPD) and the Southern District Anti-Cybercrime Team (SDACT) conducted a manhunt operation Ayala Alabang Village, Muntinlupa City that resulted in the capture of a Provincial Most Wanted Person “Phil” by the virtue of Warrant of Arrest for violation of Republic Act No. 8484 (Access Devices Regulation Act of 1998) as amended by Republic Act No. 11449 in relation to Republic Act No. 10175 ( Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012) issued by Quezon City court on January 26, 2023.

A report that reached PMGEN Robert AA Morico II, Director of CIDG, stated that the accused is an employee of alleged offshore gaming operations hub - which is being conducted in the same house where the accused was arrested.

During the arrest of the accused, the authorities discovered and witnessed an ongoing offshore gambling/gaming operation being manned by twelve (12) persons - 9 males and 3 females, utilizing online websites and platforms (1) https://vivamaxwin.com, (2) https://vivamaxwinregister.com, (3) https://vivamaxwin1.ph, (4) https://vivamaxwin2.ph, (5) https://vivamaxwin-pg.com, (6) https://primogaming8.ph, and (7) https://primo02.com.

Verification made with the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) revealed that the said online gaming/gambling websites and platforms are illegal, following the total ban on Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).

The Team subsequently arrested the twelve online gaming/gambling operators; seized all ICT equipment including computers, laptops, cellphones, flash drives and all peripherals; and secured said items for the application of Warrant to Seized, Search, and Examine Computer Data (WSSECD). The confiscation was duly witnessed by Barangay Officials of Barangay Ayala Alabang, and Security Officers from Ayala Alabang Village.

The Director of CIDG, stated that Republic Act No. 12312 (Anti-POGO Act of 2025) permanently outlaws, criminalizes, and mandates the absolute shutdown of all Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) and their related service networks across the country. It specifically revoked all operational licenses and penalizes anyone establishing or hosting underground operations.

The CIDG leadership lauds PCOL John K Guiagui, the Chief of the CIDG National Capital Region Regional Field Unit, an the CIDG Southern Metro Manila District Field Unit led by
PLTCOL Christopher Francis P Siriban, for the arrest of the most wanted fugitive; and discovering and dismantling the online offshore gambling operation, and arresting twelve violators of law- all at once.

The CIDG assures the public that it is steadfast in enforcing all the laws, and unyielding in detecting, tracking and dismantling all persistent "underground" POGO hubs attempting to bypass the ban. The Unit
call on the the public to report all online offshore gambling and gaming operations in your localities, and your CIDG will do the rest.
