Sunset

As the day draws to a close
And the sun begins to doze
Its last rays paint the sky
In a warm and golden dye

The world is hushed and still
As the colors blend and spill
And the beauty of the scene
Leaves us in a tranquil dream

The sunset bids us farewell
As the night begins to swell
But the memory will endure
Of the sky's serene allure.
