𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐀-𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝟎𝟐 | 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗱𝘇, 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘇 𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗡 '𝟮𝟲: 𝗘𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝘄𝗹 🗣🏆

Calamba City Science Integrated School (CCSIS) seized the championship in the Ethics Bowl during TALASTASAN 2026 last February 7, showcasing wit and impeccable reasoning. The roster comprised Grade 11 - Tindalo students Shanleymai Maunahan, Christian Dequit, Gabriel Fonacier, and Ceana Cunana, alongside Grade 11 - Kamagong's Denise Perez.

After three rigorous rounds, the CCSIS team bested more than 40 schools during the event held in Palma Hall, University of the Philippines Diliman. With the guidance of their coach, Sir Percy Roa, they proved that they possess not only knowledge but also logical brilliance.

Through this feat, these CalScians underscored the importance of social awareness, amplifying the youth's important role in nation building.

𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐒𝐜𝐢 r𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐒𝐀𝐍 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

Calamba City Science Integrated School demonstrated unparalleled intellectual depth as they emerged as the Grand Champion of the Ethics Bowl during TALASTASAN 2026, held last February 7. This 1st nationwide high school event of UP Kabataang Pilosopo Tasyo (UP KAPITAS), themed “Paglinang ng Dunong Para sa Pilosopiyang Pilipino at Kamalayang Pambansa,” brought together more than 40 schools at Palma Hall, University of the Philippines Diliman.

An Ethics Bowl involves a dialogue where competing teams construct their position on a certain moral and social problem that they will then present and defend to the panel. It involves a collaborative exchange and reasoned debate. The CCSIS team proved their excellence in this challenge through three rigorous rounds, culminating in a live final session where they bested the sharpest young minds in the country.

The winning team, guided by their dedicated coach, Sir Percy Roy P. Roa, showcased the perfect balance of logical depth, social relevance, and ethical wisdom: Gabriel Fonacier, Ceana Cunanan, Denise Perez, Shanleymai Maunahan, and Christian Dequit.

By dominating this premier philosophical stage, these students have shown that CalScians possess not only technical brilliance but also the critical wisdom needed to lead our nation toward a brighter future.

And, 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡'𝑠 𝑎 𝑤𝑟𝑎𝑝 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑦𝑒𝑎𝑟! What a challenging yet memorable year, right? 😁 Buti na lang, we ended it with a bang. 💥

Nakakapagod man ang days and weeks prior to our YEP, we hope it was a restful but energizing week-ender for you, 𝐃𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐭𝐞𝐬! ❤️‍🩹 From the 𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗺𝗲𝘀 and our 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 na sumubok sa 𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘹𝘪𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 😜 ng bawat isa to the 𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗻-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀, it was truly iconic. ✨
