AS WE KNOW - Inna Porto

This March, as we celebrate National Women's Month, Moodnight Sessions continues highlighting women who are shaping their own space in the music scene. For this week’s As We Know feature, we shine the light on Inna Porto, the vocalist of Insolitvde

Inna’s journey with music started where many true passions begin: at home. Her family always encouraged creativity, and that support gave her the confidence to explore singing and music. Over time, she realized that music wasn’t just a hobby it became her language for expressing thoughts and emotions.

Her musical influences come from powerful bands like Evanescence and Paramore, known for emotional storytelling and strong sonic identity. At the same time, she draws inspiration from the vibrant local music community in the Philippines and from genres she loves R&B, pop, alternative, and metal. Those influences blend into the way she writes and performs today.

For Inna, songwriting is deeply personal. Her lyrics often grow from her current mood and emotional state. Once her bandmates in Insolitvde create the instrumental foundation, she begins shaping the melody and writing lyrics that carry the emotions she felt while creating the song. It’s a process that allows listeners not just to hear the music but to feel the story behind it.

Like many artists, her journey hasn’t been without challenges. Inna openly shared that she once went through a period of depression that prevented her from singing for four to five months, even though music was the thing she loved most. It was one of the most difficult moments in her life.

But she found her way back through the people who believed in her. Her son, who inspires her to keep moving forward, her husband, who gave what she calls “101% support,” and her family and friends who never stopped encouraging her. Their support helped her rediscover her voice and return to music stronger and more determined.

Her band, Insolitvde, also plays a huge role in her growth. The group constantly pushes each other creatively, allowing her to explore different approaches in every song they make. Their management, Mi Familia Collective, has also been instrumental in guiding and supporting the band as they continue to develop their craft and stage presence.

Being on stage and in front of the camera has transformed Inna as an artist. Performing taught her to build confidence, trust her abilities, and give her best in every moment not only during performances, but in life itself.

Her goal today is simple but powerful: to keep creating music that inspires people. She believes that dedication and sincerity are the foundations of any meaningful work, and she hopes their music can reach listeners who need it the most.

Beyond the stage, Inna describes herself in a way that reflects gratitude and perspective:
happy, contented, and thankful, someone who appreciates every opportunity and finds joy in the journey, not just the destination.

Insolitvde recently released a new music video, and it captures the emotional identity of the band quite well. The visuals highlight the band's raw performance energy while complementing the emotional tone of the song. The pacing of the shots allows the intensity of the music to breathe, and Inna’s vocal presence stands out delivering both vulnerability and strength.

What makes the video effective is its honesty. Instead of relying heavily on spectacle, it focuses on atmosphere and performance, allowing the song’s emotion to lead the experience. For fans of alternative and emotional rock, it’s a strong representation of what Insolitvde brings to the table.

✨ As We Know continues to document the journeys of artists who keep creating despite challenges because stories like Inna’s remind us that music is not just sound. It’s resilience, growth, and connection.

Now it’s your turn.
How do you see Inna Porto as a vocalist and artist? Share your thoughts, favorite moments, or experiences listening to Insolitvde in the comments. Let’s show some love and support for her journey in music.
