𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗵: 𝗔 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 of 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

This week marks the 𝟭𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 – an observance led by the Climate Change Commission to raise awareness about the effects of global warming and climate change.

The observance is timely as Quirino, along with other provinces, recovers after the onslaught of extreme weather events, especially super typhoons Nika and Pepito.

The intensity and the frequency of extreme weather events are proof that global warming and climate change are serious problems that need serious attention and prompt solutions.

We have experienced firsthand the fear and distress as the super typhoons pummeled our province. We have witnessed the severe damage it left in our province’s agriculture and infrastructure.

The magnitude of these environmental crises could not be handled by the government alone so each of us should do better choices. Choose the environment. Choose LIFE.

It is time to heed the wake-up calls! Let us revitalize the spirit of the 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and stand against global warming and climate change.
