Organized and implemented at the Local Government Unit (LGU) level pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act No. 10121, otherwise known as the "Act Strengthening the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management System" and local Executive Order no. 21 date December 23, 2010 by Dr. Ferdinand M. This is an interim office pending the enactment of an enabling local ordinance creating the permanent office as mandated by law.
