𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆: 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗳 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

The opening ceremony officially marked the start of our three-day Surf in the City Regional Surfing Competition, bringing together surfers from different parts of Region VIII. Participants traveled from Hernani, Guiuan, Tacloban, and our neighboring town of Maydolong, along with a strong showing from our local surfers here in Borongan. Each competitor arrived with determination and passion, all aiming to deliver their best performance and secure a podium finish. We wish everyone the very best of luck throughout the competition.

We were deeply honored to be graced by the presence of our 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿, 𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗶𝘂 𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗼, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿, 𝗭𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘇𝗮, who each delivered inspiring and meaningful messages. Their words uplifted and motivated our surfers while highlighting the vital role of local sports in empowering the youth, strengthening community ties, and fostering a culture of support for grassroots, community-driven events such as this competition.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in and supported the Surf in the City Regional Surfing Competition.
