How We Test Power Bank Claimed Capacity - The Proper Way

A lot of low cost power banks available in the current market are over-claiming or exaggerating their claimed capacity. Some palm sized power banks are even claiming 50,000mAh! It is physically impossible to squeeze in this much of power into a small casing! Some even use dummy cells inside the casing just to add weight and make the power bank heavy enough to appear more believable. With our method of testing, we can accurately measure the exact capacity directly in mAh and declare right away if the power bank being tested is of good or bad quality without the need to physically break open its casing just to have a visual inspection of the inside. Included in the video are 2 sample power banks- one good and one bad. We use the term Effective % Capacity to describe our actual measured capacity in percentage with a passing mark set of 60%.
