For in Christ, we are more than a congregation—we are keepers of one another's souls. And that is a blessing beyond measure.

Seeking God's guidance first requires humility and trust-a conscious surrender of control. This doesn't come easily, especially in a world that encourages self-reliance and independence. Yet, when we approach God first, we acknowledge His sovereignty and wisdom over our own limited understanding. This act of surrender positions us to receive direction that is not just good but perfectly aligned with His purposes for our lives.

Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." This verse is a profound call to prioritize God above all else—not just when life feels out of control, but in every moment, every decision, every prayer.

“Do we ever ask God first, or is God just an option when it comes to asking for guidance?”—is a question that hits straight to the heart of our faith walk. Too often, we live as though God is an afterthought. We make plans, chase goals, consult friends and experts, and only turn to God when the results don’t align with our desires or when we've exhausted all other avenues. It’s like treating God as Plan B, when He was meant to be our guiding light from the start.
