In celebration of Arbor Day with the theme, "Healing Nature, Securing Our Future," the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of Balatan successfully conducted a Tree Planting and Coastal Clean-Up Activity at Barangays Duran and Coguit, Balatan, Camarines Sur.

This meaningful environmental activity was made possible through the active participation and support of our partner agencies and organizations, including the DENR-CENRO, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Balatan, Municipal Police Station CSPPO (PNP Balatan), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG Balatan), The Katig Project, Coguit Women Circle, and the Barangay Officials of the host communities.

Together, we planted trees and cleaned our coastal areas, demonstrating our shared commitment to environmental protection, climate resilience, and sustainable development for future generations.

The MENRO Balatan would also like to express its heartfelt gratitude to Judge Francis P. Magistrado and Mrs. Rose Germund Magistrado for graciously accommodating the participants at the Seaside Wellness Center and to CENRO Goa for providing mangrove propagules from their Nursery at Olas, Lagonoy, CamSur, which greatly contributed to the successful conduct and realization of the Tree Planting Activity. Your continued support and commitment to environmental conservation and coastal rehabilitation are truly appreciated.

Let us continue working hand in hand to heal nature and secure a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable future for all.

Today, we proudly joined hands at Brgy. Duran and Coguit, Balatan, Camarines Sur to celebrate Coral Triangle Day with the theme “Advancing Ocean Stewardship for a Resilient Blue Coral Triangle.”

Through SCUBAsurero and Coastal Clean-up Activity, our community showed that protecting our oceans begins with collective action. Every piece of trash removed is a step toward healthier reefs, thriving marine life, and a more resilient future for generations to come. 🌱
