Tropical Depression , currently with sustained winds of 55 km/h and gusts up to 70 km/h, is expected to intensify into a tropical storm before making landfall in the Isabela region of Quezon later this week. Signal #2 winds are anticipated in the area, potentially causing moderate to significant damage. The enhanced southwest monsoon ( ) is further complicating conditions, bringing heavy rains across the country.
