We dined at an authentic Chinese restaurant up in Genting Highlands, Malaysia, and their famous 8-piece rainbow Xiao Long Bao was an absolute showstopper! Each color comes with a unique flavor and yes, they taste just as amazing as they look!

WILDFLOUR IN BACOLOD?!

My brothers and I recently visited Firehook, a popular patisserie and restaurant at The Nara, Bacolod and I have to say, it truly felt like the Bacolod version of Wildflour. From the moment we walked in, the aroma of freshly baked pastries filled the air, setting the tone for what turned out to be such a satisfying visit.

We ordered all their best-selling pastries to see what the hype was about, and here’s our honest take:
Dulce De Leche Bomboloni: 10/10
Ube Bomboloni: 8/10
Strawberry Bomboloni: 6.5/10
Caramel Bomboloni: 9/10
Cinnamon Danish: 6/10

We went on a Sunday during lunchtime, and the place was packed. The only downside was that the area around The Nara tends to get quite hot, and the café’s cooling system seemed to struggle a bit with the crowd, so it felt a little warm inside.

Still, everything else made up for it. The prices are surprisingly affordable given the quality, the portions are generous, and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive.

Overall, it’s a spot that beautifully combines comfort and sophistication, definitely a must-visit for anyone who loves good pastries, good coffee, and good company. Bacolod foodies, you might just find your new favorite café here.
