𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗙𝗿. 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘆 𝗖. 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲, 𝗖𝗦

Fr. Ricky C. Gente, CS is a Filipino Catholic priest of the Scalabrinian Missionaries (CS), a congregation dedicated to the pastoral care of migrants. He serves as the Chaplain of the Sentro Pilipino Chaplaincy (SPC) of the Diocese of Rome, based at Santa Pudenziana Basilica, the main church for Filipinos in Rome.

His ministry focuses on the spiritual and pastoral care of Filipino migrants—offering sacraments, catechesis, community formation, and cultural-religious traditions such as Simbang Gabi. He played a significant role in major events for the Filipino community in Italy, including the historic first Simbang Gabi celebrated by Pope Francis, where he addressed the Pope on behalf of Filipinos.

Fr. Ricky also helps organize regional gatherings for Filipino migrant chaplains across Europe and contributes actively to the global Filipino faith celebrations, such as the 500 Years of Christianity commemorations.
