Ang ground rod ay hindi energy-saving device.

Ito ay para sa:
✔ Proteksyon laban sa electrical shock
✔ Pag-trip ng breaker kapag may ground fault
✔ Surge at lightning protection
✔ Equipment protection

Sa normal condition, walang kuryenteng dumadaloy sa ground rod.
Gumagana lamang ito kapag may fault.

🔎 DID YOU KNOW? Ayon sa PEC (Philippine Electrical Code)

• Ang mga enclosure na exposed sa weather (rain, outdoor location) ay dapat weatherproof / raintight.

• Lahat ng fittings na nakakabit sa enclosure (kasama ang conduit entries) ay dapat approved at listed para sa wet location.

• Hindi sapat ang ordinary locknut at connector kung outdoor — kailangan sealed ang entry point para hindi mapasukan ng tubig.

👉 Kapag may pumasok na moisture sa panel:

• Nagkakaroon ng corrosion
• Pwedeng mag-cause ng ground fault
• Bumaba ang insulation resistance
• Posibleng mag-lead sa short circuit o sunog

⚡ Ayon sa Meralco Service Installation Standards

•Ang mga meter base at outdoor panel installations ay dapat weathertight ang conduit connections.

•Required ang tamang hub o connector na may sealing mechanism (gasket o threaded seal) para hindi magkaroon ng water ingress.

•Hindi ina-allow ang improvised sealing (silicone lang, electrical tape, etc.) bilang primary protection.

Electrical installation works were conducted for a soon-to-open commercial space. The scope of work included the installation of convenience outlets for general use, dedicated outlets for CCTV equipment, additional lighting circuits, doorbell wiring, exterior wall lamp, and a GFCI-protected outlet for the laundry area.

Wall chiseling was required due to the structure being solid poured concrete, which made installation more challenging. A surface-mounted plastic molding was initially recommended; however, the client requested concealed wiring to maintain a cleaner aesthetic.

All wiring and devices were installed securely, tested for proper operation, and verified to be functioning correctly upon completion. The installation was completed in accordance with standard electrical practices, ensuring safety, reliability, and functionality.
