24 Hours in the Amazon with our Camera Traps 🐾🌙
Ever wondered what the Peruvian jungle looks like when the researchers go to sleep? Our camera traps in Codo del Pozuzo are working 24/7 to monitor the incredible biodiversity of the Pachitea River basin. 📸✨
As a Wildlife Conservation Intern with Semillas Life, you’ll lead the deployment and data analysis of these remote stations. In this reel, we’re highlighting some of our favorite recent sightings:
Predators in Motion: The elusive Panthera onca (Jaguar) and Puma concolor.
Jungle Giants: Tapirus terrestris (Tapir) and the vocal Alouatta seniculus (Howler Monkey).
Ground Dwellers: Mitu tuberosum, Cuniculus paca, Pecari tajacu, Odocoileus virginianus peruvianus, and the Dasypus novemcinctus.
This is more than just a Gap Year; it’s a professional dive into Tropical Ecology and Wildlife Monitoring.
