I needed a break from the hustle and bustle of Frankfurt. I saw an idyllic image of Baden Baden which was near the Black Forest and wine country, so I hopped on a train to visit. Wow, an immediate shift into a magnificent wonderland! This small town was perfect for me in every way. The cobblestone streets, surrounding forest, chill atmosphere and closeness to many vineyards made my time there magical! Excellent restaurants and cafes were abundant. I could feel the uplifting energy. I saw a spectacular exhibit of Ernest Neto’s work at the Museum Frieder Burda with Ernest Neto, enjoyed a delicious wine tasting at the nearby Vineyards, experienced the treatments of 150 year old Friedrichsbad Roman-Irish Thermal Baths, did hiking through the Black Forest and had Black Forest Cake in the Black Forest at Mummelsee.
