Coinciding with the winter solstice, this vibrant celebration honors Inti (the Sun God) and Pachamama (Mother Earth), just as the Incas did centuries ago.
It is an incredible blend of history, pride, and deep-rooted tradition that unfolds across Cusco’s most iconic landmarks:
Qorikancha: The initial greeting to the morning sun at the ancient Temple of the Sun.
Plaza de Armas: A symbolic meeting of authorities and traditional dances in the historic main square.
Sacsayhuamán: The grand finale, where stunning choreography and powerful ancestral rituals take center stage at the fortress.
