.rotorua is a Japanese café and takeaway based in Rotorua, they approached us in October last year to refresh their brand ahead of the busy summer season, the brief called for something clean, inviting, and contemporary, capturing both the warmth of a neighbourhood spot and the clarity of a grab-and-go offering.

We developed a cohesive brand identity that was used across different element, from store front and A-frame signage, flags, to their loyalty card and more.
The goal was simple → make the offer instantly interesting and understandable from the street, while keeping the aesthetic refined and true to the brand’s calm, modern feel.

The final pieces reflect the essence of the brand and what their owners wanted to express and convey, that's our job!

We’re very pleased with how this mini branding package turned out.

Kōtare Legal is a boutique legal practice specialising in emergency management. Inspired by the Kōtare (NZ kingfisher), the brief called for something clear, fresh, confident, and professional → recognisable within the legal world, but with enough personality to stand apart.

We centered the design on themes of readiness, calm focus, and steady guidance in high-pressure situations.

The final identity is simple and adaptable, built around cool blues with a restrained burnt-orange accent and a clean, modern mark. It performs well across both digital and print applications → cohesive, flexible, and satisfying to work with.
