Here's the honest version of why I prioritise growing my team:

It's not just so I can take on more clients.

Delegation allows team members to develop confidence and skills. The purpose is to create profitable businesses that run without the owner.

The goal is to build businesses that work – for the owners, for the teams inside them, and for the clients they serve.

That only happens when you genuinely invest in the people around you.

I was reminded of something recently that I think is worth sharing.

One of the most successful business owners I know isn't the smartest person in the room. They're not the most creative. They don't have the best strategy.

They just execute. Consistently.

Completing one task, even if imperfect, is better than juggling many incomplete projects. Executing allows learning from mistakes.

I think a lot of us – myself included at times – spend too much time optimising our plans and not enough time running them.

The learning is in the doing.
