Dancetopia - “Where Wellington comes to dance!”

Address: Level 1, 11 Torrens Terrace, Wellington

Dancetopia is a purpose designed, beautiful dance space in central Wellington. It has three dance studios made for movement and creativity. Each studio has a top quality sprung wooden floor, air conditioning, wall length mirrors, customisable LED lighting and a fantastic bluetooth sound system. The studio space also features a welcoming common room, kitchenette, four unisex toilets and a shower/changing room.

Our studio is currently the home of Spiritus Dance Company, Salsa Magic - Latin Dance School and Leaping Lizards School of Dance. We are looking for another regular weekly hirer(s) to complement these fantastic schools and dance communities and make the most of our dancing oasis.

Our studio spaces:
Studio 1: 15m wide, 7m deep, 3m floor to ceiling
Studio 2: 8m wide, 11m deep, 3m floor to ceiling
Studio 3: 7.5m wide, 5m deep, 3m floor to ceiling

Our hire rates (per hour):
Studio 1: standard $47 +gst / off-peak $40 +gst
Studio 2: standard $42 +gst / off-peak $35 +gst
Studio 3: standard $32 +gst / off-peak $27 +gst

Hire availability:
Current availability for new regular hirers is primarily during the day time (until 5.30pm) Monday-Friday, plus Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday. Refer to this spreadsheet to see what’s available:

Regular hirer benefits:
Dance schools who hire our studios weekly for classes also get the benefit of special teacher practice and private lesson rates, and event rates when booking the venue for parties or weekend events.

Application criteria:
We will consider the following criteria when assessing applications for regular hire:
🕺 How many hours of regular weekly hire you would like for your classes in the available day and time slots
💃 When you would like to start your hire
🕺 How your classes complement the classes and dance styles currently taught at Dancetopia by Spiritus, Salsa Magic and Leaping Lizards School of Dance
💃 How your classes can enrich the local community
🕺 A reference or references to demonstrate you will be a considerate and reliable hirer
