AI is a tool,

Like a good pen is a tool.

I used it to simplify financial summaries for some clients.

Took the statements, ran them through and translated the numbers into plain language with relevant analogies.

Something they could actually read and understand without a meeting.

I thought I was being helpful,

Until few people told me - quite sarcastically - that they weren't paying for an AI-narrated email.

But the goal was never to automate what I do,

It was to communicate ideas more effectively.

To give people who aren't numbers people a way to actually understand their own business position.

That takes thought and judgment,

And you need to know clients well enough to know what analogies will land.

So that's my promise:

AI is not taking over what I do.
The thinking behind it is still human,

And so is the accountability.
