Established in Central Wellington, we are seeking our new talented Landscaping Team Leader to be starting ASAP.
If you have more than 3 years of experience in the industry, enjoy working outside on groundwork and wish to be a role model for our friendly staff, you could be our future team leader.
You will work hand in hand with our Operating Manager who will hand over various landscaping projects. Such as retaining wall (no consent), paved courtyard, ready lay lawn, garden beds, decking projects.

The role will involve:
•All aspects of hard and soft landscaping including but not limited to: paving, decking, lawns, irrigation installation, retaining and timber work.
•Work under the operating manager’s instructions and lead a small team of general labourers in his absence.
•Drive company’s vehicles following all safety rules and New Zealand’s transport laws.
•Communication with management, clients, and suppliers.
•Being trained (when necessary) and training staff members on tasks related to landscaping.
•Having good leadership abilities and talents.

Essential Attributes:
•Being eligible to work in New Zealand
•At least 3-5 years experience in the landscaping industry
•Construction experience (decks, timber work etc)
•Being confident using power tools following Health & Safety rules
•Having a CAN-DO attitude and taking reasonable initiatives
•Being confident in managing a small team as well as working independently
•Good interpersonal and communication skills
•Being physically fit and healthy
•Being trustworthy, honest, reliable, and respectful to everyone
•Always deliver quality work with attention to details
•Have a full, clean NZ driver's licence
•Being willing to take a drug test and undergo a police check

Based in Newtown, Wellington, our landscaping company is seeking their new driver.
Starting ASAP.
To apply you must hold a current valid full NZ driver licence (Class 1) and be eligible to work in New Zealand.

You will be working alongside other general labourers and a manager.
Previous experiences in and/or gardening, landscaping, building construction, farming is preferable.
However, if you enjoy working outside of different locations in Wellington and want to discover a new industry, we will consider any applications.

As part of your role, you will be driving the company’s vehicle to the job site, assisting the team by carrying different landscaping tasks. Driving the company’s vehicle to different suppliers to pick materials or to go to the dump station for green wastes.

To successfully fit in this role, you must be physically fit as the job is demanding and active.
You must have good communication skills.
Versatility, reliability and trust are keys to be successful in this role.
Successful applicants will be required to provide a police conviction record check as part of the enrollment process.

- Great work/life balance: Monday to Friday 7:30am-5pm.
- No work on rainy days.
- Hourly rate: $23 minimum (open to review rate upon experience)
- 34 minimum guaranteed paid hours

You will start with a casual contract and get 8% on top of your gross earnings.

Two weeks ago we finished a decking project for one of our clients who also had ready lay lawn done by us.
