This is obviously a joke but if you were curious what actually inspires a brand colour palette it’s a little bit of a wild ride.

You might think you know what you’re brand colours should be - because you know what you’d like them to be or maybe you’ve read up on colour psychology.

And sometimes you’re spot on! But some times you’re not.

It’s a bit of psychology, competitive analysis, personal preference, trend and aesthetics but it’s important to remember your client is your clients client - so what would they be drawn to? What will they expect, or not expect?
