30 hours of planes, airports, snacks, baby naps and a serious amount of luggage… and we’ve finally made it to New Zealand 🇳🇿

The adventure has officially begun.

For the next 4 weeks it’s me, Rowena and baby Maya exploring this incredible country. We’re starting with 2 weeks on the South Island, living out of our new home on wheels — Tonya the Toyota — before heading up to the North Island to continue the journey.

Expect plenty of exploring, questionable navigation decisions, amazing landscapes… and most likely a few moments where we ask ourselves whose idea it was to travel with a one-year-old 🤷🏻‍♂️🥴

Along the way we’ll be sharing the journey, some tips for anyone thinking about doing the same trip, and of course plenty of camp cooking setups.

And yes… I may have slightly overpacked because every single Nomads Kitchen product has made the trip with us 😏
If we’re cooking, eating or drinking somewhere beautiful, chances are one of them will be involved.

First stop: South Island adventures begin.

Let’s see what New Zealand has in store for

Thanks for the nomination

Before the spice racks…
Before the shows…
Before Nomads Kitchen was even a thought…

There were these four 👶

Meet the team (baby edition):

Will – The Original Nomad. Founder. Dreamer. Doer.
Steve – Our Professional Button Pusher.
George – The Aesthetic Department.
Chris – The Wildcard.

Not much has changed really.
One still dreams up ideas.
One presses the buttons.
One makes it look good.
And one keeps things… interesting.

Same faces. Bigger projects. Slightly better coordination.

Thanks for being part of the journey with us 🖤
